Lasga is designed to be a simple and secure tool for managing your open tab URLs. Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us. This policy explains what information the extension needs to function and how that information is handled.
1. Data Collection and Usage
Lasga is built with privacy as a core principle. It does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data or browsing history. All processing of your tab information happens locally on your computer.
The extension operates entirely within your browser. No data is sent to our servers or any third-party services. We do not track your usage of the extension or the websites you visit.
2. Required Permissions
For the extension to work correctly, it requires the following permissions, which you approve upon installation. Each permission is requested only for its specific purpose:
- "tabs": Needed to read the URLs of your open tabs and to close them when you use the "close tabs" feature. Your browsing history is not accessed.
- "storage": Used to save your filtering settings (such as window scope, protocol, and domain filters) locally on your machine for convenience.
- "scripting": Injects temporary, non-persistent scripts into the active tab solely to display confirmation messages (toasts) on the page.
- "commands": Enables you to set and use global keyboard shortcuts for quick access to the extension’s features.
- "notifications": Shows confirmation notifications when an in-page message cannot be used (for example, if the active page has security policies that prevent scripting).
- "clipboardWrite": Grants the extension the ability to copy the collected tab URLs to your clipboard when you use the "copy" feature.
- "offscreen": As a requirement for modern Manifest V3 extensions, this allows the extension to reliably copy URLs to your clipboard even when a visible page isn't active.
- "host_permissions (<all_urls>)": This permission is required to access tab URLs from all domains, but it is only used when you specifically select the “All Windows” filtering option. It does not allow the extension to read the content of these pages or track your activity.
3. Data Security
All data the extension accesses is processed locally on your device. This data is never shared, sold, or transmitted. It is solely used for the core functionality of the extension, which is to help you manage and copy your tab URLs based on your direct actions.
4. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in the extension's functionality or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Any changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the extension after any changes indicates your acceptance of the new terms.
5. Contact Us
